Privacy
Privacy begins with restraint.
Nova Vista Maps doesn’t collect your data. Your location is used on your phone when you tap Near me or turn on Follow me, and it is never saved or sent to Nova Vista. This website has no analytics, accounts, forms, or advertising.
Explore the detailsWhat data can the site or app receive, retain, or send?
Explain how the website and app limit collection, retention, and service access.
The website is deliberately quiet.
Does this page track me?
The website is static. It does not ask for location, create an account, set analytics cookies, run advertising pixels, or accept uploads.
The animated graphics are decorative and rendered by this website. They do not create a trip record or connect browsing activity to the native product.
No analytics, cookies, forms, account state, location requests, or third-party runtime scripts are implemented.
A claim that hosting-provider access logs or processor handling are known; those details remain unresolved.
Location is used when you ask for it.
How does location enter the app?
Nova Vista asks for location While Using the App, never Always. Tap Near me and it centers the map on you and counts the documented cameras nearby. That count is worked out on your phone.
Turn on Follow me and the count keeps updating as you move, on the map and on the Lock Screen, until you tap Stop, even with the screen off. iOS shows its location indicator the whole time. Stop clears the current position and ends the Live Activity.
Nova Vista doesn’t save searches, places, or where you’ve been, and it has no accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking. Browsing the map, searching, and reading these pages work without location.
When-In-Use location for Near me and a Follow me session the person starts.
Nova Vista never asks for Always access, and nothing tracks you until you tap Near me or Follow me.
What goes to Apple.
Who can process information the app needs?
Apple Maps provides map tiles and search, so those requests go to Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy. Directions open in the Apple Maps app.
When you open a camera’s card, its mapped position, not yours, goes to Apple to name the nearest street. If you share an Around here result for Near me, a point rounded to about a kilometer goes to Apple to name your town; your exact position isn’t shared.
The camera records ship inside the app. Nova Vista doesn’t run a server that receives your location, route, or identity.
Apple Maps provides tiles and search; Directions open in Apple Maps.
Not every request stays on your phone: map tiles and searches go to Apple.
Trust is in the details.
A boundary is part
of the feature.
Nova Vista keeps route neutrality, source provenance, incomplete coverage, privacy, and safe-use limits visible wherever they affect what a record can mean.
