What happens when sources disagree or change?
A new source event does not overwrite the past. Material changes retain publisher, effective date, review state, evidence references, conflict, and supersession history. Removed and disputed records remain typed states rather than disappearing into a positive or negative default.

Does a removed marker mean the device is gone?
No. A record can leave current presentation because of rights, evidence, freshness, source availability, conflict, or lifecycle state. That does not independently establish what remains on the road.
